How The World Ends
“Some things are impossible to laugh about.”
That was the first line I wrote in The World Itself Departed.
Some people write because they have a vision of the future. I wrote this book because I have a vision of how it all ends.
“It.” By that I mean the upside-down world we are living in now, the one that’s hanging on by a thread. It’s a world, I can attest, where evil flourishes, where the powerful are too often devoid of empathy, and where the line between normal and apocalyptic is far closer than most of us realize.
Originally I thought this might be a single novel. Halfway through I realized that wasn’t going to happen. Not even close. The story still has a long way to go before it’s resolved. Much like our civilization.
The World Itself Departed is the first volume in The World Itself series, and the ebook is available for free at Barnes & Noble Nook and kobo. On Amazon, the Kindle version is 99 cents. The paperback version–which feels and smells incredible satisfying–is $8.99.
